Mandaluyong City, Philippines – In full haunting attire, Filipino rock groups Sundown Caffeine & Black Summer celebrate Rubber Duckie Music's birthday at the famous Ortigas music bar, 6 Underground, last Saturday night, October 31, 2009.
It was a long overdue reunion with good friends and immense figures in the independent music scene, including bands like I-ray, Freefish, Ursa Minor and Crude Oz. It was, likewise, a pleasant meeting of new friends from the group Lady Ransom.
Sundown Caffeine began the evening with a modified set: 1. Sunflowers & Dust 2. Wanderlust
3. Last Star
4. Nine Rivers
5. Halo Effect
Sundown Caffeine singer, Mark, had only fond words for the production team: “We've had a great year so far, and much of it is because of RDM. These guys are a class of their own, and it is an indescribable honor to be part of their work.”
Black Summer followed immediately, performing some of the crowd favorites: 1. Wounds
2. Drowing
3. Huwag Nating Pilitin4. Old Flame
5. Tonight
When later asked about the party, Black Summer frontman, Allen, blurted out, “'Que Horror!!!' Was truly hammered that night, but it was definitely a great gig... just as the year that passed for RDM. And we're looking forward to quack some more in the years to come!”
